Meet Our Team

Dr. Amanda Romsa, the owner of District Orthodontics, grew up in Wisconsin and practiced in Chicago before moving to Washington, DC. She has now been a proud Capitol Hill resident since 2013 and is honored to provide excellent care for members of her community. She also wants to support her neighborhood. For every patient who starts treatment, District Orthodontics will provide the local nonprofit Little Lights with a backpack filled with school supplies to give to an up-and-coming student in our neighborhood.

Dr. Romsa graduated from the University of Wisconsin (Go Badgers!) with a B.S. in Biochemistry. Her undergraduate achievements earned her the Dean’s Merit Scholarship to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Romsa was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, which is for students who have demonstrated exemplary traits of professional character and academic excellence. After dental school, Dr. Romsa continued her education at the University of Minnesota Orthodontic Residency Program. During her specialty training, she gained significant experience in treating craniofacial anomalies and surgical patients.

Dr. Romsa is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, and the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce. For fun, Dr. Romsa enjoys singing in the Capitol Hill Chorale, cycling, traveling, cleaning up her neighborhood with the Capitol Hill Clean Up Crew, and spending time with her husband and son.
